My name is Andrea Perron, I am 23 years old and will turn 24 this coming August. I proudly represent Montreal, Canada, and more specifically, the French-speaking province of Quebec. I currently work as a bartender in an Italian restaurant in Montreal—a role that allows me to support myself while pursuing my true passion: the artistic path. I am deeply ambitious and immersed in a variety of creative projects. Alongside modeling, I paint, write, act, and create content across multiple platforms. My goals are to become an international model and actress, to launch my own painting business, to inspire others through content creation and motivational speaking, and to guide individuals along their own paths. Ultimately, I aspire to travel the world through my work.

1. How did you start your career in the world of fashion and modeling?

I began pursuing modeling in August 2024, when I received my first collaboration opportunity with a photographer. From that point on, I started working with multiple photographers across Montreal to build my portfolio. In October, I was presented with my first major opportunity through Preview Models, which led me to travel to Paris and, later, to Los Angeles. In January, I officially signed with Icon Models, an agency based in Toronto.

2. What are the main qualities that you think a model should have to be successful in the industry?

Confidence, self-assuredness, a positive mindset, and unwavering determination are essential qualities for success as a model. It is crucial to possess a strong sense of self in order to feel comfortable in this field. Modeling challenges one’s self-image and requires you to learn self-love. You must be ready—emotionally and mentally—to embark on this journey.

3. What are the biggest challenges you have had to face in your career and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge I’ve encountered so far has been learning to trust the opportunities that come my way. When you constantly put yourself out there, it inevitably attracts both genuine offers and potential scams. Doing proper research is essential, but distinguishing between what’s real and what’s not can be difficult—especially when misinformation circulates online. I’ve learned to rely on my intuition, do my due diligence, and not let fear interfere. It’s a matter of developing discernment and recognizing red flags with confidence.

4. How do you prepare for a photo shoot or a fashion show? Is there a special routine that you follow?

When preparing for a photo shoot, I typically pack everything I need—makeup, clothing, shoes, and accessories. I don’t have a specific ritual aside from getting ready and embracing the excitement of the experience. However, when it comes to fashion shows, I always practice my walk beforehand. It’s more challenging than it appears, and practice is key. I would describe my favorite looks as streetwear, high fashion, or classic elegance. While I appreciate comfort, I also value style. I choose my outfits based on my goals, the location, the nature of the event, and the circumstances. My makeup is usually natural, unless I’m wearing a more playful or bold outfit.

5. As a professional model, what advice would you give to young people who aspire to pursue this career?

My advice is to work on your self-awareness and confidence before entering the industry. Modeling goes far beyond physical appearance. You must be present in the moment and grounded in who you are. Personally, journaling has been a transformative tool in my life. It helped me reprogram my mindset, overcome anxiety, and become mentally resilient. Looking at myself—both literally in the mirror and figuratively—helped me step into this career. A year ago, I wouldn’t have been ready to model, but personal growth changed that. If you’re considering this path, ask yourself honestly if you’re prepared. This self-inquiry will prevent self-sabotage and ensure a healthier experience. Also, remember that success requires stepping outside your comfort zone and investing your time, energy, and finances.

6. What inspires you when you work on new projects in the fashion world?

My primary source of inspiration stems from my artistic background. Modeling is an incredibly creative outlet, offering the opportunity to collaborate with photographers through pose suggestions, facial expressions, lighting ideas, and conceptual direction. It’s a co-creation process, and that artistic freedom excites me deeply.

7. In the context of Miss Woman 2025 in Tenerife, what does it mean to you to participate in an international beauty pageant?

I am extremely grateful and honored to participate in my first international beauty pageant. It is a meaningful experience for me as a model and as a woman. Pageants like Miss Woman provide a platform for women to express their values, share their stories, and amplify their voices. This opportunity means the world to me because it merges beauty with empowerment and growth. It will be a significant milestone in my modeling career—one that will open doors, push me beyond my comfort zone, and help me make valuable connections.

8. How do you think your experience at Miss Woman 2025 will help you grow professionally as a model?

I believe this experience will contribute immensely to my professional and personal development. It will broaden my exposure, introduce me to new cultures and creative individuals, and provide opportunities to be seen by a wider audience. It will require courage and adaptability, which are essential for my growth as a model and artist.

9. What characteristics do you look for in a pageant like Miss Woman 2025? What is it that distinguishes you and makes you unique for this type of event?

I expect Miss Woman to be spectacular, professional, and inclusive. I’m looking forward to meeting free-spirited, driven, and radiant individuals. What sets me apart is my desire to share the wisdom I’ve gained through personal transformation. Over the past two years, I’ve focused deeply on personal growth, and that journey has shaped me. My life story, personality, and intention are what make me unique. I want to use this platform to empower others and help women discover their own confidence and self-worth.

10. What is the message you hope to convey to the public through your participation in the Miss Woman 2025 pageant in Tenerife?

The message I want to share is rooted in authenticity. I believe in creating a more honest world by encouraging people to face their emotions rather than suppressing them. I also hope to challenge societal norms that pressure young adults into conventional career paths. Not everyone is meant to follow the same script—and there is nothing wrong with taking an alternative route. I want to encourage others to believe in themselves, to embrace exploration, and to understand that failure is part of the journey. My goal is to be living proof that you can achieve success by staying true to your passions and living authentically. ‎
